Upper Room Home Furnishings’ Online Policy
The Upper Room Promise
At The Upper Room we are proud of our longstanding tradition that has been founded on quality, customer service excellence and a commitment to community. We value each and every one of our customers and want you to know that you’ve received an exceptional piece of home furniture at an exceptional price, but also that you’ll continue to receive the best possible service both before and after your purchase.
An Upper Room Promise means that:
- We have striven to provide you with exceptional furniture at a reasonable price;
- Our delivery option includes a service inspection before your piece is delivered and installed within the Ottawa area.
- Our Customer Service Agents and Sales Team are professional, knowledgeable and always available to answer any questions you may have before and after you have made a purchase.
Guarantees and Warranties
While all home furniture products retailed online possess a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty, with the exception of our bedding collection (please refer to individual mattress write ups through the website.) To ensure that you are completely satisfied with your purchase and feel you have adequate coverage, extended warranties can be purchased prior to the pick-up or delivery of your item.

Deliveries
At this time deliveries are only available to Ottawa and Ottawa area residents (including Gatineau and Hull, QC). Deliveries are made Wednesday through Saturday. Specific dates and times will be arranged with each client individually and are dependant on availability and when ordered items are received into the Ottawa Warehouse.
Please note that:
- If a customer is not present during the scheduled delivery time and date they will be charged a fee for re-delivery;
- All deliveries are subject to an initial $55 charge that will appear on your receipt at the time of purchase;
Pick-ups
While we would love to let you sit back and let us take care of the moving, a customer pick-up option is also available to you. Should you choose to pick-up your items, pick-up hours, available times and directions will be emailed to you after your order has been processed. Please note that:
- Upon picking up your items you will be required to show proof of purchase, picture I.D and the credit card used to complete your transaction;
- Blankets and other shipping materials will NOT be provided at the warehouse. To ensure that your items arrive home safely please bring along any shipping materials needed;
- Any damage occurring to an item after it has been picked up will not be the responsibility of The Upper Room unless it has been deemed a manufacturer’s defect;
- Customers have 24 hours to report any concealed damage to the Customer Service Department.
Purchases and Cancellations
At he Upper Room we want you to feel confident in your purchase. That is why we give all customers 48 hours to either fully or partially cancel an order that they have placed online. To cancel, please call us and ask to speak with a Customer Service Representative.
All sales are final. However if concealed damages are discovered you have 24 hours from the time of pick-up or delivery to report them to our Customer Service Department. Please ensure that once your furniture items are in your home that you have thoroughly looked them over.
All online purchases must be conducted through Paypal. Should you not have a Paypal account we welcome you to come into our showroom where you can make a purchase in person or visit www.Paypal.ca to register for an account. It is quite easy and should only take a few moments.
While we attempt to always provide the most accurate information on our website, unfortunately mistakes can happen.
In cases where errors have occurred, The Upper Room Home Furnishings expressly reserves the right not to honour the offer made through the website. In the event that the order placed online is not accepted, any payments that have been authorized for that purchase will be reversed.
All prices seen on our website are in Canadian dollars.
Legal/privacy Policy
The Upper Room Home Furnishings has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to online privacy. Information obtained from visitors and customers will only be used for internal purposes. At no time will we sell, rent, or otherwise distribute your personal information or survey data to a third party.
